Livetweet Books: Artemis Fowl #6

Warning: All LTBooks articles contain spoilers.

Every Saturday at noon CST I livetweet a book as I read through it for an hour or two.  It’s immensely enjoyable.

If you’re interested in following as I livetweet, my Twitter handle is @AlexPenname, and I have a little widget that posts my last few Tweets on the sidebar of my blog.  You can also follow the tag #livetweetbooks and the name of whatever I’m reading that week.

I was originally going to post this on Thursday, but then Eoin Colfer tweeted this:

And well, I figured I should post it early.  Happy birthday, Artemis you fairy-kissing kook.

I’m currently on an Artemis Fowl kick.  I recently finished The Lost Colony.  The Opal Deception was my least favorite of the series; this one was my most favorite.

This is long overdue. I’ve actually finished the next book in the series, but I’ll post a different review for that one.   Dune is on permanent hiatus until I finish this freaking series.

This is my least-favorite book in the series so far, even though a lot of stuff that I absolutely loved happened in this one.  That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it immensely: it just took a little time to adjust to the crazy-dark tone.

This is my favorite book in the series thus far, and I’ve finished the fourth book as of writing this review.  I loved it.  Colfer is a goddamn genius.

I’ve been reading Dune, but I took a break from that to read The Arctic Incident.  The plan was to go back to Dune next week, but… damn, I’m invested.  I may do the next Artemis Fowl book instead.

This one was amazing.

Livetweet Books: Artemis Fowl

So for the past few weeks I’ve been trying something new: livetweeting as I read a book on Twitter every Saturday at noon CST.  It usually lasts one to two hours, and I’ve been immensely enjoying this– I force myself to have time to read, and I get to read books I’ve been meaning to for ages.

If you’re interested in following as I livetweet, my Twitter handle is @AlexPenname, and I have a little widget that posts my last few Tweets on the sidebar of my blog.  You can also follow the tag #livetweetbooks and the name of whatever I’m reading that week. As of the writing of this review, I’m reading through Dune– and that’s bound to take a few weeks.

Anyway, my first chosen book was Artemis Fowl.  Loved it.
